Purva Bedi is a Drama Desk Award-winning actor whose work spans contemporary theatre, classical plays, and the development of new work. She received a Drama Desk Award for her performance in Dance Nation at Playwrights Horizons and is an Associate Artist, Board Member, and longtime collaborator with Target Margin Theater. She is also a member of the Actors Center Workshop Company.

As part of Target Margin Theater's artistic community, Purva has contributed to the company's ongoing exploration of adventurous and expansive theatrical work. Target Margin's artists were recognized with an Obie Award honoring the company's collective body of work, including Purva's longstanding contributions as an Associate Artist.

Recent theatre credits include Men on Boats (Nantucket Performing Arts Center), Cymbeline (NAATCO / Play On Shakespeare at Classic Stage Company), The Lucky Ones (Boomerang Theatre Company), and Coach Coach (Clubbed Thumb Summerworks at The Wild Project).

Her New York theatre credits also include When the Other Mary Celeste Sank: An Umweltian Tale (WP Theater Pipeline Festival), Six Therapists (Clubbed Thumb Winterworks), Romeo & Juliet (Classic Stage Company / Lynn Angelson & Two River Theater), Wives (Playwrights Horizons), Passage (Soho Rep), India Pale Ale (Manhattan Theatre Club), An Ordinary Muslim (New York Theatre Workshop), Uncommon Sense (Tectonic Theater Project), The Idiot (HERE Arts Center), Veil'd (Women's Project), East is East (Manhattan Theatre Club) and numerous productions with Target Margin Theater, including Ten Blocks on the Camino Real, Reread Another, The Tempest, and Second Language.

A passionate collaborator in the development of new plays, Purva has worked with playwrights and theatre companies through workshops, readings, and world premieres. She is the recipient of the Charles Bowden Award from New Dramatists, recognizing her exceptional collaboration with resident playwrights and her commitment to supporting new work.
